You Know Your Kids Are Homeschooled When...

...they get into the kinds of arguments with each other that our six- and not-quite-four-year-olds did today just before bed:

I am NOT a minotaur!

Well, I'M not the minotaur either!

Yes you are!

No, I'm a girl, not a minotaur.

Yes, you're a GIRL MINOTAUR...

Presumably, that would be a creature with the body of a woman and the head of a cow.


...


And then, just as the Pillowfight Fairy crawled into bed this evening, she curled up and announced: "I'm a larva."

Ew, I thought. But then she continued: "Now I'm a pupa. When you come in in the morning, I'll be a bee."

Yup, our kids are definitely homeschooled. And they read too much Calvin and Hobbes, too.
